GOOGLE yourself! Broomball! What the...?

PRELUDE: Ok I'm totally peeved cause I just wrote this fantastic entry for this blog and the #L@$!Y thing just lost it all... and it's never as good the second time. So I hope you know I'm persisting for you guys despite my 'flag it!' attitude right now. OK Kym - think happy thoughts... :)

Anyway here I go again... Ever Googled yourself? What comes up in Google when you type in your name? You'll be amazed at what you didn't know you once did. A while back another design company even had the nerve to list me (and my cred) as one of their designers even though I'd never worked for them! Dodgey! Ahhh and then there's the long standing 7yr old stats from the 1998 Broomball National Championships where my sis & I played for the Queensland team!! What the heck is broomball I hear you ask? No it's not the uber-boring Olympic sport of curling... It's kind of like ice hockey with shoes on. Very popular in Canada and the US. A lot of running on ice, sliding and checking - great fun if you don't mind a bruise or 10.

Hilarious fun, hard work and the championships itself was a crack up! We'd flown from Queensland to Adelaide to discover that the only ice rink time we could get was if we played between midnight and 4am!! It's hard being a state athlete in an unknown sport (wink wink). So then we had all day to snooze in the dodgey YHA and recover from the previous nights B.Balling bashing over the 4 days. Good times!!
