This guy lobbied the UN in 1999 for an official day of peace and the UN General Assembly resolved every year on Sept 21st is Peace One day!! Yes - there's an official PEACE day!
I'd never heard of it before and I was actually a little mad at the media's lacking when it comes to the general promotion of truly GOOD things...hence this crappy time slot at 12.30am. People need to know, so that change can begin.

This is a legit pro action towards global cease fire on at least one day a year... Imagine that - a day where no one in the world is using guns or killing! Where aid workers can freely travel to zones where people are in need and not have to worry about being shot at. The reality of a cease fire day will happen one day but it has to start with the people of the World.
This doco and Jeremy's story inspired me and it's amazing what kind of difference one day and one person can make. I'm thinking about how I might be able to spread the word. Maybe even just a morning tea at work on Friday? Wanna join me and thousands others around the world?

Good work Kimmy...you've truly inspired me...or should I say he has. My mind's ticking as to what I can do! And can I encourage others that even if we can't physically do anything...we can always PRAY!!
