Happy to report...

...Chivalry is NOT DEAD!! Currently my Junky Car "Trudy" has a very noisy squealy fan belt. As I prepared to drive away from an underground car park in Broadbeach on the weekend, the horrible sound reverberating through the tunnels, a random young guy in boardies rocked up in from of my car and said...

"Sounds like you have a problem fan belt. Want me to take a look for you?"

A quick suss out led me to ascertain that he wasn't a serial killer or too dodgy me say "Yes please", and before I knew it he'd pulled up his ute, got tools out and was working away. He wasn't a mechanic, wasn't trying to pick up I'm certain, just an all round nice Aussie guy wanting to lend a hand to a lady. Turns out he was missing a part and couldn't fix it fully but he tried.

Coupled with my friend shouting me a gourmet choc-chip cookie I just wanna say "Praise the Lord chivalry is not dead!"
