PRELUDE: Note this is my very first post and I'm a little nervous so be nice...
Ok, so last week (or was it the week before?) I was one of the few in the 25-35 age bracket to venture to the Kelly Clarkson concert. Some of the other 'older' fans disguised their enthusiasm by taking their kids along as their excuse for being there - but we knew!! The crowd and ambiance of the gig soon sorted out the true Kelly lovers from those who were just there for moral support. These moral supporters happened to be a lot of teenage boys who were supposedly 'there for their girlfriends'... But there certainly were a lot of Dads... hhhmmmm!?? Maybe it was warm up Nat from Rogue Traders that they were there for but we preferred to take photos of Aron's finger up Kelly's nose.
Kel's showcase of fishnet AC/DC top was appropriately rock but after much discussion, my flat mate Fiona & I conferred she could have done better. It's not criticism - it's just a visual review of demonstrated culture!
So in short we had a great time at this gig - we loved Kelly's relaxed vibe and appreciated that she said "God bless y'all" in her Texan drawl and spoke on some one's mobile in the crowd smack in the middle of a song!! The best thing about being in the guts of this young crowd at a teeny-bopper gig was us 'shorties' (by general world standards) were taller than most of them and Kelly was ours!!! Brilliant! Genius!
P.S. No folks - the "rock-star annointing" did not get me back stage at this gig - next time!

Damn. There goes my next post on Pat Boon and Patsy Bisco.
PS. I've laughed for about half an hour after reading those names.
Boof - what's with you? - I think you need to go read 1 Thessalonians 5:11 again... and again and again!!!
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." Lucky I know you love me!! ;0)
