I have been wondering this for a while
And since some people would look on this as a stupid question but I think that it is worth looking at regardless.

I'm back
It's been a while since I last posted so I thought I would come back with a really strange story.
There was a man who was a painter (keep in mind that this is true) he loved to paint with all his colours and ideas. One day he was in a car accident. His brain was damaged during the accident. The part of his brain that was damaged was the sections which translates colour. Heres the interesting part.
When he recovered from the accident he could no longer see colour. The strangest thing though, is that all his memories were in black and white. He couldn't imagine colour either. He could remember that there were colours, he could recall that there was a red, blue, green ect. but he just could not see, remember or imagine. That's just plain odd. This led me to the conclusion that memory is just a record of the electromagnetic waves which hit your eye.
I'd like to here what you think about this and what it says about the brain.

LONDON: Echoing the words of comedy star Basil Fawlty, Britain's Home Secretary Charles Clarke has given England fans travelling to the soccer World Cup a stark message: "Don't mention the war."
The English team's travelling support is fond of drinking lots of beer and humming the themes of war films.
A small minority has been known to go further, get its history mixed up and chant "No surrender to the IRA" while making Nazi salutes.
But Mr Clarke hopes to remind the 100,000 fans expected to visit Germany during the tournament in June that behaviour seen as glorifying its Nazi past is a criminal offence.
"British fans should respect the laws of Germany," he said. "The reason why the German parliament passed these laws was because the era that we are talking about was one of total horror and destruction.

Religion Vs Science
I am the kind of person who likes science. I like to know how things work. I've noticed that there are a few scientific theories around which are looked down upon by the Christian culture. It is like one of the Hot Potatoes that Phil does at Riverview. People say that these particular theories are evil and only look at one side of the story.
The theories that I am talking about are the Big bang and the Evolution theory. People don't know what is behind the theory, only the mutated versions which they hear from people. We then accept these as fact. Being the guy that I am, I took some background on them and I was surprised at how different they were from what people said.
The common belief about the big bang theory is that it says that the universe was just a big ball of matter which exploded for no reason one day around 13.7 (give or take .2)billion years ago. This somehow implied that God doesn't exist so it was put down by the religious communities.
What most people don't know is that the theory originated from a Catholic priest named Georges Lemaître. He came up with the theory and Edwin Hubble gave the observations to say that it was plausible. The theory merely states that the universe began at a certain point in time. I personally don't see how this implies that God doesn't exist.
The second theory is evolution. Once again this is just a misunderstanding. The theory of evolution is stating that a change in DNA has caused species change over time. Very similar to the survival of the fittest. It is saying that we have changed to become a better biologically. The theory that we came from a bunch of monkeys who changed over however many years is a possibility but because of a lack of evidence there must be a conspiracy (reference to earlier post). Not really. It is plausible but due to lack of evidence, chances are that that is not what happened.
Neither of these theories says anything which suggests that God doesn't exist and that we are just a product of random chance. So people who believe that everything is coincidental, I am going to ask 1 question. If everything is random, Why do things repeat themselves throughout the universe e.g., Fibonacci, triangles, the golden ratio.
Anyway, I am curious as to what people think about these matters so tell me if you feel like it

The DaVinci Code
Author Dan Brown, writer of the DaVinci Code, is currently being sued over copyright laws. Two writers claim that Brown stole their story which was a non-fiction book written nearly 20years ago.
The DaVinci code is not, as "mumma says"(taken from the Waterboy), evil. It is actually a very good mystery novel which, if you can pick out the plot, isn't a story about a man and woman trying to find out if Jesus was a fraud.
