OH NO!! U2 tour POSTPONED!!

Yes folks - you heard it first on Elrancho not any other blog... sadly - very sadly... the U2 tour has been postponed and following is the offical media release I just got emailed to me from the media (and no it wasn't Bryce - I can be a super rock sleuth too you know!)...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

U2's Vertigo '06: Final 10 Dates Postponed

9th March 2006

It is with great regret that The Next Adventure and Michael Coppel announce the postponement of the final ten dates of U2's Vertigo '06 tour.

This action is unavoidable due to the illness of an immediate family member of one of the band.

The effected dates are listed below.

'Any fan of U2 will realise that this decision has not been taken lightly', said TNA President Arthur Fogel. 'We will announce further details as soon as we have them.'

The affected shows - which are all sold out - are:

March 17 & 18 AUCKLAND Ericcson Stadium
March 21 BRISBANE Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre
March 24 & 25 MELBOURNE Telstra Dome
March 28 ADELAIDE AAMI Stadium
March 31 & April 1 SYDNEY Telstra Stadium
April 4 YOKOHAMA Nissan Stadium
April 8 HONOLULU Aloha Stadium

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and I don't know what this means for our heroes... pray for health for the families of U2 - quickly!!

Shame shame shame!! I am organising a prayer vigil for the U2 family member... the Bible says to pray in need and we NEED U2 to play in Australia. Maybe they'll decide Perth is the promised land and come here. Actually first to tell me was Adam based on rumour from Dale, then the news room at the radio station and then you b00f... but you were pretty quick off the mark... Kalgoorlie huh?? Could be interesting?? What's there to do there other than mine, more mining and avoid drunk miners?? Is it anywhere near Monkey Mia?? Are there any dolphins in Kal? Hee hee! ;P
