Arrived in New Orleans!!

Hey friends! After 4 flights and 33 hours of travels i finally made it!!
Here's just a few pics for you to see where i'm at

official Tulane student! :p ... the main street through the uni, it's beautiful here!

football field ... indoor training pools...

the outdoor "social pool" and sundeck... New Orleans police bikes are Harley's, very cool!

I just did a quick walk around the uni today and it looks amazing! the people are so friendly around here. and the accent... HILARIOUS! picture the funniest black tv comedy you've ever seen and intensify the accent by ten fold! its like jerry springer meets, i dont even know.. (uh-huh girlfrieeeeeeennnndddd!!!) :P ghetto styles, i love it!! oh and the FOOD! seriously!! i'm going to be rolling home!!

I also drove through the garden district which is amazing... big mansions with huge pillars, beautiful! ...

And then we went through some of the damaged suburbs (well the ones that havent been fixed yet)... such a contrast! there's just piles of rubble all over the place. this whole suburb was swimming in a metre of water the storm. Apparently half the city left for the storm but just never came back. pretty sad.

I also went to the French Quarter (Bourbon st) this arvo but didnt have any memory space for photos. I absolutely LOVE it here! it's a crazy, beautiful, sad, happy, friendly, cultured, amazing place! cant wait to explore it more. I move into my apartment on Sunday so fingers crossed that my 2 roommates will be cool!
Speak to you all soon
xx

I would actually like to see you study this time, and not be a slacker like you are in downtown Perth. Hey, I always admire people that completely step out of their comfort zone, and it appears that is what you have done. Have an awesome time, and don't come home with some American- there is loads of nice blokes in the West....
