Last Day of the Sweet Way
I'm feeling a little reminiscent and melancholy tonight (actually early morning) and not sure if it's because I'm still sleep deprived. I'm here in Child in Charge documentary head-quarters once again and it's my last day of work at Riverview... man I'm gonna miss this place, but more so the people! I love you guys ( if you're watching... and I know you are because El Rancho gets more hits from the Riverview IP address than any other)!
Everyone who works behind and in front of the scenes at Riverview are absolute champions and I can honestly say it's the best job I've ever had! It seems a little crazy to some to leave such a good thing and move back to 'the Goldy' (I wondered myself for a little while) but now I know it's right. Feeling a little like Michael Landon in Highway to Heaven but I know for shiz my 'real' job ain't done!
I've been so blessed to be a part of Riverview. This church is a remarkable community of passionate Jesus lovers, committed followers of Christ who live with their actions and share the love of God daily. And they let me slip in through the cracks to join the ranks which means they believe in miracles I guess.
I've also had my gorgeous Mum in town for the last few days and I've been so proud to show her around and observe as she encountered a few random people I kind of know from church and feel the love as well as my tight peeps. Not to mention my brilliant friends who have embraced her as they always have me. Love you guys dearly - you know who you are! Miss ya already - OK no more tears though. I guess that's nice in theory but I think I've cried more publicaly and private in the last few months than I ever have. Will miss ya bad!
My next job: doing something at RIMCO Building Systems... not really sure what yet but it will start on site with a hard hat and steel capped boots. If you're in the market for a free-span steel factory you know who to call!
So I think I'll be officially missing Riverview BAD in about 3mins after landing!! Love ya long time!
Red Rolle leaving the office... :(

hard hat and safety boots aren't so bad. make sure you get john bull's, they are way comfy. high vis vest, bright orange also a must! make sure you get your hard hat dirty real quick, otherwise you'll be picked for a newby who knows nothing and you'll get no respect at all. go out the back and throw mud at it for about 30 seconds, then you'll be ready for the job site.
good on ya kym, perth will miss you.
