SYDNEY Coloured my World!

COLOUR Women's Conference, Sydney 2007



As I journey in transit between Paradise Perth and Surfers Paradise, Queensland, I made a little stop in Sydney to this thing da ladies like to call... COLOUR conference... my sister convinced me to go and I think the promise of 'FREE STUFF' clinched the deal. I think my gorgeous sister Be has been to a conference every year since she was born and this was my first, and I must admit I was skeptical of how so much girliness could be relevant to the tomboy in me.


But the fun all started with a few fun train rides with my fun 'Mei Mei' Be and staying with my great friends Paul, Maggie & Miller Mabury - I love you guys!!


Caught up with Bonnie & Paul for some good times in Circular Quay and Kings Cross.

And one of the best things about Colour is hanging with my girls. My much loved, Jesus-glowing-friends from all over Australia and NZ. These women are all amazing and thanks for the great giggles and share time we had!
There's nothing like hang time with the sisterhood! Sorry fellas but I'm sure you get it, and probably wouldn't want to be in a room full of 17,000 women.

The speakers that spoke directly to my insides were Lisa Bevere, Charlotte Scanlaan-Gamble and J.John (always a winner!) and it seemed like these women particularly we're challenging me to grow up, unpack the tasks God has for me, get building and charge on for Jesus towards the Revolution He's called us all on. Oh wow! I'm in and totally pumped for a new year, new environment, new career and new responsibilities! What a great prep ground for my move home. If you don't know it already God totally knows what He's doing in all our individual lives - da Master!!




And as the closing finale was happening, confetti was falling from the ceiling and Coldplay-like yellow balloons floated down... I was thinking to myself... "Man - someone has to clean all this up - poor sucker!" and look who it was... us. OK so I was making more confetti angels than cleaning up, but our hearts were all in. My friends are the COOLEST!



To my SISTERHOOD from COLOUR 07... BE-BE, AMP, HANS, BROOKEY, MAGS, CLAUDS, RUTHEE, BEC & all the long time friends I ran into from the Goldy... I LOVE YOU! Thanks for Colouring my World - Miss you already... except I can't miss Be who's working in the next office over... get me a coffee!! Hee hee - love you sis... would you like 2 sugars or 1? ;)
