It took an Aussie to say it......

It has been some time since gracing the ERR pages with my presence, although I thought I'd come through with a simple but powerful message. First let me put the article that was sent to the editor of 'Steamboat Pilot & Today' 2 weeks ago....

The article I'm referring to is titled 'I'm impressed', and is submitted by Marilyn from Australia. I feel so strongly about this, I'm possibly being a little traditional because of the way my parents raised me. Here where I'm working, Steamboat Springs Transit provides a free bus shuttle service to locals & tourists around town, although I'm still so suprised that people are so incredibly rude. I find it is the younger generation in town that are the worst, and swear at you as they hop on the bus. All I'm saying is a simple 'please' and ''thank-you' will improve peoples living conditions, I will bend over backwards to help someone out; thats if they are polite to me!!
This is probably a fairly deep subject for ERR, though something I am quite passionate about. Give it a try people, while I try to educate the 'land of the ignorant'- I just shut the door on them as they exit the bus, they become a little angry though I teach them a lesson for swearing at me Gav style....

good on ya gav, thats your job she's talking about, well done - a credit to faithful stewardship of a great opportunity. i say that cause i know it hasn't been easy for you and it can be real easy to get mad at the locals during the hard times (speaking from a lot of experience), but well done mate, a tribute to our mate gav.
love ya bro.
