California with the Fields

"We can always do with more journalists." That's what the immigration inspector said as he stamped my visa at San Francisco International Airport. I guess that was a better welcome than "Sir, I'm afraid we can't let you into the country," as they discovered a stash of Vegemite I smuggled in for Garrick and Simone. Mr & Mrs Field arrived in San Jose only a day after me and the good times were here again...

Garrick with the "Charger", or as we dubbed it the "Stratosphere", due to its out-of-this-world fuel efficiency

At the Golden Gate Bridge, still where it was last time I was here

It was very cold, as illustrated by this lone sailor

The view back towards San Francisco and "The Rock" otherwise known as Alcatraz

Downtown San Francisco

On the left, Garrick and I check out the world's most crooked street

A very long lunch in Monterey, one of the great memories

We took in the sights and sounds of Monterey and Pacific Grove

We stayed at Rian's bosses, bosses place in Pacific Grove. Magnificent.

It was sad to say goodbye to the Fields. Until next time.

I don't feel accurately represented in that video, and I object. My comments were edited. Journalists...
