Ciao bella!.. well 2 nights in rome is not enough to see this huge city.. i arrived in at 6pm on friday arvo and got to my hotel at 8ish.. so i got some food.. a few maps and planned out my day in rome.. here are some pics.. best sight by far was the colosseo.. just huge and amazing to think that the early Christians were slaughtered in there......
St Peter's Basilica, viewed from atop the Castel Sant'Angelo + Castel Sant'Angelo
St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, the head of Catholicism + Piazza Navona
Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore
Victor Emmanuel Monument, a monument despised by the locals + Trajan's Forum
Roman Forum, containing the ruins of the Empire's central business district.
Spanish Steps + Temple of Antoninus and Faustia, built in the 2nd century
Arch of Constantine, viewed from the Colosseum.
Colosseum during the day.. and at night.. kinda scary being out that late though..

Trevi Fountain.. filled with thousands of euros each day by tourists.. nearly thru one in myself.
things to know prior to goin to rome.. taxi fares cost around 30 euros to the center from the airport.. if u arrive after 5pm expect at least 1.5hrs travelling.. the metro is cheap but takes for ever to get u around.. leave ur hotel early in feb cos it get dark around 6pm and as i explained b4.. the trains take 4 ever!.. if u try and speak italian u will find italian ppl way more friendlier than if u just speak english to them.. my usual line was.. 'no parlo italiano.. you parle ingles?' that usually got them on side..hahaha.. and its true ALL roads lead to Rome!
