Official Tour of the Island of Green
St Patrick's Cathedral, went on Literacy Pub Crawl (2 actors, 4 Pubs & they perform the works of Dublin's best known writers- so entertaining), met 5 Germans & 3 Dutch at the last pub
Went to Guiness Hop Store & learnt all about the legend Arthur, Grafton Street-Dublin
Merv was exhausted after walking 20 klms around Dublin City, Eyre Park in Galway City, Tigh Coli pub in Mainguard Street Galway (brilliant pub & met heaps tourists & locals)
There are heaps of small pubs in the towns- most of them have little bands playing (brilliant atmosphere). So I was out at the Cliffs of Maher on far west coast in hire car (a Fiat Punto) & Merv drops this bombshell; he told me that while he was in quarantine, he met Marg & has fallen in love. Merv and Marg have just become engaged & soon to be married after meeting 2 weeks ago, which I told him is fine because that is slightly longer than Dave & Bridget courtship......
Found this little beach out on the Cliffs of Maher; Merv started staring at the topless bathers!! The Cliffs of Maher were very beautiful- you can walk right up to edge.
The Ring of Kerry (near Kilarney), the Irish country side is extremely picturesque, This guitarist in O'Conners Pub in Cork was so amazing (though not quite as good as Mr Cullen- nobody can be that good!!)
Erye Park in Galway, I thought the name of this town out near Cobh Bay (Ringaskiddy) at far southern end of Ireland quite humourous. Anyway- now I'm in Germany, Cheers
